The following itineraries can all be done as a day tour from Glasgow or Edinburgh:


The Loch Lomond Tour is a circular tour around the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.


The William Wallace tour is one of my most historic tours taking in the famous battle sites of Stirling Bridge, Bannockburn and Falkirk as well as the Wallace Monument. There is time for you to take a guided tour around Stirling Castle with its impressive Royal Palace.


The Rob Roy Tour also includes a visit to Stirling in addition to Callander, the Trossachs and Sherrifmuir, taking you in the footsteps of the famos outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor.


A Glasgow Distillery Tour will take you to the two closest working distilleries to Glasgow, the highly regarded Auchentoshan, producer of a smooth Lowland malt and Glengoyne, the picturesque setting for a Highland Malt distillery.


The Loch Ness Tour (not available as a day tour from Edinburgh, see the mini tour page for Edinburgh options) is a tour from Glasgow to the heart of the Highlands. Visit the captivating Loch Ness or cruise the loch and make up your own mind about the existence of Nessie!


A Burns Tour allows you to explore the county of Ayrshire, home for most of his life to Scotland's bard, Robert Burns, also known as the ploughman poet. Visit his 18th century birthplace and the Burns Heritage Centre in the quaint village of Alloway, Souter Johnnie's cottage, Kirkoswald, the infamous Bachelor Club and Mauchline, home of the Burns Memorial Monument and Burns House Museum.


The South West Scotland Tour takes you through Burns country on the Ayrshire coastal road to the rolling hills of Galloway. Visits to Portpatrick, the Rhins of Galloway and Scotland's 'Artist Town', Kircudbright are included in this day trip.


A Scottish Borders tour is a circular tour from Edinburgh or Glasgow to the green landscape of Scotland's deep South taking in ruined abbeys, historic county towns and New Lanark, a UNESCO world heritage site.


A West Highland tour take you to the rugged West Coast including stops in Callander, Glencoe, Oban and Inveraray. This is one for the castle enthusiast with no less than seven you can visit on this one day tour.


Hadrian's Wall Tour from Glasgow or Edinburgh takes you just across the English border to visit the remains of the Roman Empire's barrier against the marauding Caledonian tribes.
